It's not like usual Kdramas where falling in love happens in the first quarter of the drama and the long wait is for the confession which happens in the halfway mark. Aside from their chemistry, they just fit so much Shin the introvert & tsundere prince, and a Chaegyung the bubbly, innocent girl who looks still cutesy/childlike even when she cries.īoth Jun Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye made us squee and wait patiently for their romance to blossom in the 24 episodes. A big part of Goong's massive success (because there are bad parts in the story, yes) was the main OTP being too perfectly casted for their roels. I think remakes or spin-offs have not been successful. I know a lot of younger people find some of the actions problematic in today's culture, this drama remains to be one of my guilty pleasures. You're not alone in the 8th or 10th watch of this drama.
